One year later, Mercedes Gleitze, swims across the icy waters of the English Channel wearing a ROLEX OYSTER PRECISION on her wrist. The watch, produced in 1926, made from 9 ct gold with octagonal case (31x27 mm), still worked perfectly after the 15 hours and 15 minutes swim.
